Garda Sub Aqua Club
The Garda Sub Aqua Club (GSAC) has been in existence since 1964.
We celebrate our 50th birthday in 2014.
GSAC is based in Dublin from our clubhouse in Westmanstown and boat mooring in Dun Laoghaire. We currently have circa fifty members ranging in ages from late teens to early seventies including both snorkeler and scuba divers and Garda and civilians.
The Club is affiliated to the Irish Underwater Council (CFT - Comhairle Fó Thuinn) the national governing body for recreational underwater sports in Ireland, which in turn is a member of the World Diving Federation (CMAS - Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques). CMAS is the world federation of national diving organisations and operates in some 80 countries on all continents.
