  • Mayo has always been a favourite spot with the club for dive trips down through the years. This year we headed to Belmullet for the first time in a number of years. Once again the diving was fantastic and it proved to be a great trip. We rented a house in Belmullet which was an ideal location. It's always nice to be able to park up the cars after a day's diving and wander up for dinner which was usually followed by refreshments in the local pub. We moored the boat at Carrowteige/Ceathru Thaidhg for most of the week and we visited a selection of dive sites dependent on the wind direction. We experience some fantastic diving with great viz and lots of sea life including dolphins and sun fish at sites such as Knife Rock, Eagle Island, Kidd Island. On the last day we travelled to Ballycastle and had a great dive at Down Patrick head.
